Women are always the best in budgeting. They always know when to buy a certain product because they always consider the quality as well as the price. One downfall of women when it comes to budgeting is when they need to buy something to enhance their beauty. Believe me or not, the most close-fisted women I know have the weakness with shoes and bags. She really has a strategy with budgeting but she can’t use it if she finds a beautiful pair of shoes or a fabulous bag, she can’t fight the urge to buy those fancies.

 

Another things that she always include in her budget are diet products. I can’t blame her anyway, because if I were in her shoes, I wouldn’t be hesitant to purchase a diet that works. Medifast is a one diet product that always worked for her as well as for other girls that I know.   But recently, a friend of ours was still thinking really hard whether to purchase medifast or not, she was afraid that it might not work for her. Good thing that medifast has a 30-day refund policy wherein the company will refund the purchase price of the unopened food items. After knowing that my friend decided to buy one and so far she likes the product.

A Vegean Diet Plan

Recently my wife and I were watching a PBS special where this doctor got up and talked about how we are eating too many of the wrong foods. Big news flash huh? But what he said that we found interesting was this idea of looking at every meal you eat in terms of percentages. As an example, if you see your plate as 100%, in his estimation, 85% of that plate should be covered in fruits and vegetables and the remaining 15% should be meats, breads and pastas. Now to me it basically means that you should adopt a strict vegan diet however my wife disagrees.

She feels that rather than going cold turkey and signing up for the South Beach Diet or something, we should moderate our intake of fatty foods and carbs. We should then increase dramatically our intake of raw fruits and veggies. In addition she felt we should also ramp up our water consumption as well. Now I am all for healthy living but it has taken some getting use to, especially when most of your plate was filled with a nice juicy steak and a buttery baked potato.

As I write this I just finished going to the bathroom. Yep, I said it.
